A portrait of a coastal city, burning across the water with electric colors and golden light. Wet on wet painting created a fluid look in the upper sky, where the glow of the city fades into the darkness. A layer of gold and copper leaf accents makes it seem like the lights of the city are a collection of small fires floating over the water. The metallic bronze underpainting shows through where the painting was scored, giving the whole piece a subdued glow.
